What is the Maclear Leaderboard: leagues, qualification, and how ranking works

The Maclear Leaderboard ranks investors by the current total of their active (Funded) investments and automatically places every investor into one of four Investment Leagues: Bronze, Silver, Gold or Platinum. You appear on the Leaderboard automatically once you have completed KYC and Proof of Address and hold at least one Funded investment — no sign-up required.

How you qualify

You become visible on the Leaderboard as soon as all three conditions are met at the same time: completed KYC, completed Proof of Address, and at least one investment with Funded status. If any condition is missing, you simply do not appear yet — as soon as you meet all three, you are included automatically.

How your rank is calculated

Your position is based on the current total of your active Funded investments. This includes investments made through:

• Primary Market
• Secondary Market purchases
• Native projects
• African Consumer Loans (ACL) projects
• Bonus mechanics

Investments still in Open or Prefunded status do not count yet — only once they become Funded. Two things lower your active investment total: selling an investment on the Secondary Market, and receiving your principal back through repayment.

If two investors have exactly the same active investment total, the one whose latest investment reached Funded status earlier ranks higher.

The four leagues

Your league is assigned automatically based on your active investment total — no action needed. Each league gives you two different kinds of reward: privileges, the ongoing perks that are cumulative across leagues, and vouchers, one-off rate boosts awarded only for moving up into Gold or Platinum.

Privileges are cumulative — each league includes all the privileges of the leagues below it. Vouchers are not privileges and are never part of that cumulative set: holding a higher league does not by itself grant the vouchers of the leagues below it. A voucher is a one-off prize awarded for the event of your total moving up through that league’s range — how vouchers are issued, and what happens when you skip a league on the way up, is covered in Leaderboard vouchers and cashback.

Silver’s ACL access works forward only: if you are later moved back to Bronze, the ACL investments and balance you already hold keep working as normal — you simply cannot start new ACL investments.

How does my league change when my investments grow or shrink?

As soon as your active investments cross a league threshold, you are upgraded immediately — even skipping several leagues at once if your total jumps that high. If your total drops below your current league threshold, you do not lose the league immediately: you enter a 30-day Grace Period during which your current league and all its benefits stay fully active. If you top back up within those 30 days, the downgrade is cancelled. If you do not, your league is recalculated at the end of the 30 days based on your actual total — you may land more than one tier down. Investments and vouchers you already hold always keep their original terms; a downgrade never changes them, and new restrictions apply only to new investments going forward.

Vouchers follow the direction of travel, not the league you are sitting in. An upward move awards the voucher of every league your total passes through, including leagues you skip: going straight from Bronze to Platinum awards both the Gold voucher and the Platinum voucher. A downward move never awards a voucher — dropping from Platinum to Gold gives you no Gold voucher, and you earn one again only by climbing back up. What do the columns in the Leaderboard table mean?

Earned is calculated as: paid interest + referral income + referral cashback + Leaderboard Cashback ± Secondary Market result.

Trend updates in real time with every change in your position. It shows how many positions you have moved within your current league relative to the last daily snapshot, generated at around 00:05 UTC:

• Up ↑ — you moved up
• Down ↓ — you moved down
• Same (–) — your position has not changed
• New — you recently joined the Leaderboard or moved to a new league

Does buying on the Secondary Market help my Silver, Gold or Platinum status?

Yes. Secondary Market purchases count towards your Leaderboard rank and league in the same way as Primary Market investments. The only place Secondary Market activity is excluded is the Bronze €10-per-€1,000 cashback calculation — see Leaderboard vouchers and cashback.

Does my Leaderboard league affect my other bonuses?

No, with one exception. The Leaderboard is a separate, independent mechanic: it does not change the rules or eligibility of the Welcome Bonus, the Referral Program or the Loyalty Bonus. The exception is the €30 per €500 bonus and the €20 per €500 bonus: their own rules, amounts and conditions stay the same, but reaching Platinum raises the reservation amount per project that is eligible for them from €5,000 to €30,000 — see the section below.

Can I lose more than one league level at once?

Yes. If your Grace Period ends and your investment total has dropped further in the meantime, your league is set to match your actual current total — not just one level down.

Platinum: higher limits on the €500+30 and €500+20 bonuses

Reaching Platinum raises your eligible reservation limit for the €30 per €500 and €20 per €500 bonus programs. The limit is the maximum amount of your regular (non-bonus) reservations in a single project that counts towards the platform bonus. It is calculated per project, cumulatively across all your regular reservations in that project; bonus reservations neither count towards it nor use it up.

The bonus applies only to the portion of a reservation that falls within your limit; anything above it earns no platform bonus. Once your limit for a project is fully used, no further platform bonus applies to later reservations in that same project.

The promoting investment itself does not get the higher limit. If a specific investment is what pushes you from a lower league into Platinum, that investment is still assessed against your pre-promotion limit of €5,000, not the €30,000 Platinum limit. The €30,000 limit applies only to reservations you make after you have already reached Platinum.
